We would really like your support at a Demonstration and Rally at Amazon Fulfilment Site Rugeley. For a number of months GMB have been supporting members facing horrendous conditions. Ambulances have been called to site for really serious incidents such as electrocution. Amazon make billions of pounds of profit yet they are failing to provide a safe working environment. These workers are always in fear of losing their jobs so they have no voice. Collectively we can give them a voice please join us
Hot off the press, the latest edition of Unionline News. The focus is on: - the recent equal pay strike in Glasgow and how equal pay is still an issue some 50 years after the equal pay act, - Disability causation test, - new National Minimum Wage rates
We are immensely proud of our Home Care Branch Secretary Shona Thomson. The work she has put in to make today's strike action happen cannot be overstated. She is a force of nature and, with her energy and leadership, today she demonstrated the very best of our union. Her speech deserves to be heard in full, so here it is. Share it with everyone you know and let Shona tell the story of this historic strike.
Solidarity to our sisters in Glasgow, on strike for equal pay. As Glasgow born Trade Unionist Mary MacArthur said at the Cradley Heath women chainmakers strike of 1910. “While women are badly paid because of their unorganised condition, they remain unorganised mainly because they are badly paid.” we're sure Mary would be bursting with pride to see 8000 people organised against injustice
Tomorrow more than 8,000 workers will be taking to the streets in the biggest equal pay strike ever. We're proud to stand with the women who make Glasgow in their battle for justice. ✊ Support the strike too? Click below to tweet your support! 📱👇 https://bit.ly/2CvEVZf
